The Seal

Three layers, each depending on the others. Remove one and the system degrades. Remove two and it fails permanently. The architectural layer: the foundation stones of the western precinct, oriented to concentrate the Rath Yatra's ritual sound and funnel it downward into the chamber. The sound-path layer: a crystalline conduit running vertically from the foundation base to the chamber ceiling, carrying that sound the last distance to the geological layer. The geological layer: the chamber stone, the seal structure at its centre, the accumulated charge of a thousand years of completed circuits — and encoded within it, the load capacity of every guardian who came before. Each one left something in the stone when they died. The seal is not just a structure. It is a lineage. The excavation removed the architectural layer. The sound-path layer remains. For now.
